Born in Hafnarfjördur, Iceland, and raised off the west coast of Sweden, Tommy Iceland grew up in a musical family, surrounded by gospel singers, songwriters, and recording artists. This ignited his passion for songwriting at age twelve, and led him to join various bands growing up as he honed his craft.
In 2018, Tommy signed a publishing deal with Full Circle Music and soon made his way to the US to start his career as a songwriter, producer, and artist. It would not be long before he registered his first ever cut with Chris Tomlin for the song “Impact.” He now resides in Franklin, TN with his wife and two sons.
In 2021, Tommy signed a publishing deal with TIM Publishing where he continues to make music inspired out of his personal testimony. In 2023, the results of his hard work had begun to pay off, charting a top 40 single with Hope Darst’s “Never Walk Alone.” He also had a hand in writing the first single from Jesus Culture’s latest album with the powerful, “Look to the Lamb,” and has been called on for his writing and producing prowess to help bring a variety of significant projects to life; from the latest VOUS Worship album, to new music from Benjamin William Hastings, DOE, 7 Hills Worship, and more.
Tommy Iceland’s story is one that spans trauma and PTSD, multiple continents, struggles, and triumphs. But whether he’s making music for artists and churches around the world, or for his own artistry, the heart of Tommy’s music has always been to help build a bridge to God’s healing hand.
