Born to the land of wheat fields and tumbleweeds in Southwest Kansas, Kaelob is a first-generation musician and songwriter.
Thanks to a JC Penny catalog acoustic guitar left in the attic of his childhood home by the previous owner, and no access to learn other songs he found a passion for writing and making up his own songs to sing for his little brother and sister. He would go on to be a part of various indie rock bands, touring around the tristate area.
After serving in the Marine Corps, he looked for a place to call home. He settled outside of Cincinnati and took an internship for a local church learning to lead worship. After surviving a traumatic experience which resulted in the death of a friend on a mountain climbing expedition and clinging to a mountain side for nearly 10 hours in freezing temperatures, he began to write his first worship songs, describing and processing that experience.
He would go on to become a worship pastor of 7 Hills Church in the greater Cincinnati area and started the worship band 7 Hills Worship in 2018 to have an outlet to write songs for both the local and big C church.
After writing the song ‘Found a Love’ in 2021 he was taken under the wing of Stacey Willbur and TIM Publishing to continue to develop as a songwriter, grow in his gifting and write more and more songs for the body of Christ that glorify Jesus Christ. He is fiercely passionate about the human condition and every person knowing the love that only God can give.
